Capitalizing on Innovation, Technology, and the Evolution of Knowledge
HGG's professional services in the Government Sector include impact analyses, water availability, conjunctive use planning, geothermal and groundwater resource evaluation, the preparation of land use regulations, and litigation support.
HGG professionals are experienced in assisting special districts and local, state, and federal government agencies in preparing environmental impact analysis reports, evaluating the availability and sustainability of culinary and thermal groundwater resources, preparing water-related land use regulations, and performing litigation support and expert witness testimony.
We have prepared and assisted in the preparation of dozens of Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for local and federal agencies in California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. Our environmental impact analysis experience includes overall responsibility for the San Diego County Growth Management Strategy ESI and numerous land development projects. In California and Colorado we have evaluated the availability of culinary and agricultural groundwater supplies for several special services agencies and have performed similar evaluations for the BLM in Colorado. For the state of Idaho we evaluated geothermal resources in the Boise area. We are also experienced in assisting local governments in California and Colorado to draft water supply-based land use regulations and to defend them in court.
